The Lush Series - Grease Lightening

Spots. The bain of every girl's (and boy's) life. A spot can ruin your entire day as you feel as though you are not at your best. When it comes to skincare I am always trying to prevent spots but also looking for products to help get rid of them.

Grease Lightning - Spot Treatment

Lush Grease Lightning Spot Treatment Review

45g - £5.95

Grease Lightning includes; aloe vera gel to soothe and moisturise, seawater for its antiseptic properties, grape juice to cool and calm the skin, thyme, rosemary and tea tree herb infusions to be gently antibacterial, witch hazel, an astringent that is great for bruising and helps broken blood vessels shrink and contract and tea tree oil, a powerful antiseptic.

I usually use this when I can feel an outbreak of spots coming or after I've squeezed a spot (I know I shouldn't but I can't help it!). The formula is a gel which comes out through a squeezy top bottle. With the squeezy top it is hard to get a smaller amount as you seem to have to press it all the way down to get any. For me this leads to wastage...

The actual product itself is okay. It doesn't work miracles by clearing up a spot instantly but I have seen small reductions in spots when I have used this. After squeezing a spot and applying this, I feel it adds an antiseptic layer which helps speed up the healing process.

If you are looking for a spot treatment that is amazingly good I wouldn't run to the shops and pick this up. It is a nice to have but I wouldn't put it on your to want list.

Have you tried this? What do you think?
