Haircare #britishbloggerselection

The theme for this week's #britishbloggerselection is haircare. My haircare routine is pretty simple as I usually just wash and condition my hair, with the addition of a hair mask once a week and then add some Milkshake Hair Incredible Milk before blow drying. For this week's post I have decided to review a new shampoo I've been using and a hair mask that I've trialled.

Banana Shampoo and Conditioner Body Shop Review

Shampoo - £4.50 - 250ml   +   Conditioner - £4.50 - 250ml

If you follow me on twitter you may have seen me ranting and raving about banana shampoo from The Body Shop a few months back and how they had no conditioner in stock. I was devastated about this but it didn't stop me trying out the shampoo in the meantime... When I finally got my hands on the conditioner the pair could be reunited and I could finally see how they worked together.

First of all the smell is amazing! It doesn't smell exactly of bananas but it is still lovely. The colour of these too is also so cool, they are bright yellow, and so thick in texture. As I have quite thick hair I tend to use quite a bit of shampoo to make sure I get a good lather and with this shampoo I've noticed I need a little more than usual to make sure I get this. The conditioner is lovely and thick and works into my hair really well.

Afterwards my hair smells lovely, it doesn't keep the banana smell but I don't think you do with a lot of fruity smelling shampoo/conditioners. My hair also feels lovely and soft and beautifully clean. I'm definitely repurchasing this duo!

Herbal Essences - Bee Strong Strengthing Intensive Mask

Herbal Essences Bee Strong Hair Mask Review

Herbal Essences Bee Strong Hair Mask Review

As you all know Nicole Scherzinger is on all the Herbal Essences adverts showing off her beautifully long hair. What you don't know is that Nicole is my girl crush! She is so pretty and lovely that I want to be her. That is kind of the reason I bought this, plus it was on offer, plus I really wanted a hair mask. This was definitely the best smelling mask out of the Herbal Essences bunch. I can confidently say this as I spent at least five minutes in Tesco opening them and smelling them all...

This mask is very easy to use, just shampoo as usual, put this on for 5/10 minutes and then rinse off. I tend to use this in the shower and after applying this I clip my hair up whilst I continue my shower routine and rinse this off before I get out. The mask is a lovely thick and creamy and applies well to my hair. After using this I can't say I've seen a major difference but I definitely think it is keeping my hair in good condition.

Have you used these products? What are your haircare must haves?
