Manicure Monday - Gobstopper

For this week's manicure I was adamant that I would finally get to wear the gorgeous multicoloured glitter polish that is Gobstopper (from Tara's Talons). The only problem I faced was finding a colour that would go well and be very demure. I picked my new ASDA gel pro polish in Pink 05.

I've already spoken of my love for Tara's Talons nail polish on my blog so it won't come as a surprise that I love this polish too. Gobstopper is a creamy white polish filled with different coloured pieces of glitter. What sets this apart from say Barry M's sequin polishes (as mentioned in a previous haul) is the amount of different coloured glitter packed into the polish and the creamy jelly sandwich effect you get when you paint layers. If Tara ever creates anything like this again you must get it!

As for the ASDA polish, I can't say that for £3 it was worth it at all. I really wanted to expect good things from this but unfortunately there were too many aspects I didn't like. Firstly the brush is so cheap and flimsy it is impossible to paint your nails nicely. Secondly the polish is very thin which means to get the desired colour you have to paint multiple layers. Lastly, I just didn't like the look of the polish on, it was much more of a coral colour that I had expected from a polish labelled 'pink'. There are lots more polishes on the market for £3 that I would be happier to spend my money on.

A bit of a long manicure Monday but I wanted to include my review of these two polishes!

What do you think to the manicure? Nice colour combination?
